Contribute meaningful change and travel internationally while you study
Applications have opened for a culturally immersive, international study program which offers honours students the opportunity to live and study in Lombok, Indonesia.
The 俀珗腦瞳厙桴 Business Schools Double Literacy Honours Program: Connecting Asia Literacy and Sustainability Literacy provides hands-on experience through applied research and community engagement.
Over the course of the 12-month program, students are equipped with the skills they need to understand and address complex social, economic and environmental issues and contribute meaningfully to global sustainable development.
Honours student Shahista Rojah completed her study abroad mobility as part of the Double Literacy Honours Program, which allowed her to combine her health research with an internship in Lombok.
I got to do an internship in the Health Department that really married up with my honours research which Im currently doing that involves maternal depression and stunting, Shahista said.
I got to meet the locals it was really culturally immersive something you wouldnt get if you went as a tourist.
Supported by the Australian Governments New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility Grant, the program has opened the door for transformative projects and feasibility studies from water sanitation and recycling to community development and improving school facilities.
At the end of the program, graduates have strengthened global employability and research capability, and experience working with international organisations and communities.
Graduates/students across Australia who have completed or are on track to complete an undergraduate degree with strong academic results are eligible to apply.
There are two program intakes for 2026, and 10 places available:
- Semester 2, 2026 (late July)
- Trimester 3, 2026 (late August)
