Governance and leadership

ÍíÒ¹¸£ÀûÍøÕ¾ was founded in 1973 under the provisions of the (The Act). The Act makes provision for a body corporate in perpetual succession and defines the functions and constitution of the University.

The Act also makes provision for , Statutes and regulations.

All subsidiary legislation for the University is available in the University’s policy management system, . The PPM includes the By-Laws, Statutes, Regulations, Rules, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines and Standards.

Senate

The Senate is the governing body of ÍíÒ¹¸£ÀûÍøÕ¾, promoting high performance through fairness, transparency and accountability across the University.

Murdoch is led by a Vice Chancellor and a group of senior leaders who are responsible for the strategic management and development of all aspects of University business.

Academic Council & Committees

The Academic Council is the principal academic body at Murdoch and makes the final decision on academic policy.
