Bachelor of Agricultural Science
Get hands-on learning and workplace experience to jump-start rewarding careers in agriculture and animal health.
Students can
- complete the three-year Bachelor of Agricultural Science with one or two majors aligned to your career goals
- complement your major(s) with minors that will help you achieve your goals
- strengthen your qualification even further by including an Honours project (four years total).
Majors
A major is an area of specialisation in your degree.
You can complete one or two majors in the Bachelor of Agricultural Science without increasing the duration or cost to complete the degree. A second major is a great way to broaden your career options.

Double degree: Bachelor of Agricultural Science - Bachelor of Business
Our double degree pathway allows students to complete our Bachelor of Agricultural Science and Bachelor of Business in a four year program.
You will graduate with two degrees, including a major (area of specialisation) in agriculture (Crop and Pasture Science, Animal Science or Animal Health) and Business (Management, International Business or Marketing).
This course is designed with flexibility in mind, with option to complete a minor that complements your career goals within the structure.
This is an excellent options for students interesting in combining a recognised business qualification with the applied knowledge and hands-on learning in agriculture.
Postgraduate Courses
Master of Biosecurity
Develop in-depth knowledge of managing threats to plants, animals, humans, and the environment, including rapid response to incursions and managing established pests and diseases
Master of Food Security
Understand the strategies needed to ensure food security through sustainable agricultural practices with a Master of Food Security.
Graduate Certificate in Plant Biosecurity
Build your knowledge and skills related to key plant biosecurity pests and diseases; new and emerging diagnostics and surveillance technologies; practical community engagement strategies; and international biosecurity agreements and obligations. This can be upgraded to Mater of Biosecurity on completion.
