Your learning at ÍíÒ¹¸£ÀûÍøÕ¾ will be technology-enhanced, recognising the role technology plays in our lives and in preparing you for your future. You will use a range of technologies to access learning materials, participate in learning activities, and demonstrate your learning in assessments.
To prepare for your studies take note of the minimum computer requirements. It will be impossible to succeed without a laptop or good tablet, and reliable internet connection. A webcam and microphone may also be required. Check if there are any extra requirements for your studies.
Even courses and units that are mainly conducted in person will still make use of technology to help you prepare for learning activities and capture your learning.
You may also use a range of discipline or industry specific tools that will help you prepare for your future beyond university.
Digital learning apps and tools
myMurdoch Learning, the Learning Management System (LMS) used at Murdoch, is an online interactive platform used for submitting assessments, participating in learning activities, and to access learning content. You will find your Unit Outline, learning materials, lecture recordings, activities such as discussion forums, quizzes, assignment submissions and other relevant learning information by accessing the LMS.
myMurdoch Learning is based on the Moodle LMS and is the main portal to access most of your other learning tools.

Echo 360 is a software used to capture lecture recordings, as well as access pre-recorded videos your teachers have provided. You can access Echo 360 lecture and workshop recordings via myMurdoch Learning (LMS), and can also capture and submit video assignments, including presentation.
Microsoft Teams is a platform for collaboration. At Murdoch University, Teams is used as a virtual classroom for lectures, tutorials and workshops. It is also a core technology used in Boola Katitjin to support hybrid learning. Students can engage with lecturers, tutors and peers through Teams.
When Teams is being provided, you will access it via myMurdoch Learning (LMS), e.g. as Teams Online Session or by clicking the link in your class calendar entry.
Microsoft Teams is also a hub for teamwork that you can access through your preferred web browser. It is an app that can help you work with others as a team by using chat instead of emails, and channels instead of file folders. You can securely edit files at the same time as other group members, start team discussions and collaborate.
As well as Teams, you have access to the full suite of Microsoft Office 365 tools.
Turnitin is a text-matching system that compares the text in student submissions with a database of academic sources, web pages, and previous student submissions. It produces a Similarity Report, identifying unoriginal, incorrectly referenced, or uncited text, and indicating the original source.
Turnitin will be available when your Unit Coordinator has enabled it for Assignments in myMurdoch Learning (or PebblePad).

PebblePad is an electronic portfolio and personal learning platform. At ÍíÒ¹¸£ÀûÍøÕ¾, PebblePad is used in some units to record your learning journey, for assessment and feedback purposes. It can also be used to capture your learning on placements.
You can use the range of tools in the PebblePad personal learning / ePortfolio system to plan, record, reflect and provide evidence of learning or competencies. Tasks can also be carried out using the .
Studiosity is an online, on-demand study help platform freely available to all Murdoch students via myMurdoch Learning (LMS).
You can get help via live chat with a subject specialist, and receive written feedback for your assignments. It is an online, on-demand study help platform available to all Murdoch students through any unit LMS site. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can get help whenever you need it. You can access up to 20 submissions/sessions free each year.

AI tools
XR (Extended Reality) is being used in some units at Murdoch and includes both VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality). These digital technologies are used to create an experience that overlays, blends with, and interacts with reality to different degrees. The use of XR headsets and a range of software is being used to provide you with opportunities to practice and demonstrate discipline-specific skills and aptitudes, understand high-risk environments, complex topics and real-life practices in your field of study. Common software includes:

- CattleVR for animal handling.
